Rafael Viñoly

1944–2023

Born in Uruguay. He began his career in Argentina and later based himself in New York.

Selected as architect of the Tokyo International Forum in a 1989 international competition, he won international acclaim for its Glass Building, reminiscent of a ship's keel.
